Our Story

The idea for Made For Life came about in 2015 when our founder, Jane Smith, struggled to find affordable yet durable clothing that fit her active lifestyle. As a busy working mom of three, Jane found most budget-friendly brands lacked the quality she needed while higher-end lines were out of her price range.

After doing some research, she discovered a gap in the market for reasonably priced clothing made with performance fabrics designed to hold up over time. Jane set out to create a line that filled this void. She partnered with top manufacturers across the globe to source innovative textiles and enlisted expert pattern makers and designers to come up with stylish, flattering fits suited for everyday wear.

Within a year, Made For Life was born. Our very first collection consisted of women’s pants, shorts, and leggings made of a lightweight, stretchy fabric that provided both compression and breathability. The response was tremendous, so we expanded into menswear as well as more apparel and accessory categories.

Today, Made For Life offers lifestyle clothing for men, women, and kids. Our growing line includes pants, shorts, capris, sweatpants, tops, jackets and more. While our selection has increased over the years, our commitment to quality and comfort remains unchanged. To cut single-use plastics, our garment tags, buttons, trims and prints use no PVC. We’re also transitioning hang tags, price tickets and barcodes to paper instead of plastic.
